Some Genetically Modified Rice is People (I'm not kidding)

This rice is made of people: I'm just going to post these various articles and video links on the subject of this rice that has been approved by the FDA since 2003. It's called "golden" rice and is supposedly a greater source of beta carotene and has been approved under the auspices that it will feed and deliver more nutrition, here, and in the third world countries. Not only does it turn out that the rice is not a significant source of beta carotene, but it turns out that this rice that has been growing since 2003 is genetically modified with human liver cells. How many crops are now infected by the pollen of these seeds?

Serious unintended effects in bees from GM dsRNA

Serious unintended effects in bees from GM dsRNA

Honey Bee Close-up
A new study shows major unexpected effects in bees from dietary GM dsRNA.
Early this year, a peer-reviewed study was published by Prof Jack Heinemann and colleagues suggesting that government GMO regulators are failing to consider important risks of new kinds of GM plants and co-technologies.

These new-type GM plants and products are designed to make a form of genetic information called double-stranded RNA (dsRNA). While most existing GM plants are designed to make new proteins, the new GM plants and products make dsRNA in order to alter the way genes are expressed.
This process of gene expression alteration is called RNAi or RNA interference, or post-transcriptional gene silencing.
Research has shown that dsRNAs can transfer from plants to humans and other animals through food.

The Australia/New Zealand GMO regulator FSANZ dismissed Heinemann and colleagues' study, using spurious reassurances about dsRNA risks.

The Science Media Centre of New Zealand joined in the chorus to silence concerns raised by the study.

Now a new study in honey bees shows that Heinemann and colleagues were right to warn about the unintended effects of dsRNA-type products.
The new study revealed that the expression of nearly 1,400 of the bees' genes was altered in response to a certain type of dsRNA administered in their food - representing around 10% of known honey bee genes.

Interestingly, this particular dsRNA has been used as a control dsRNA in honey bee experiments, since its gene sequence does not exist in honey bees and thus it was not expected to trigger RNAi responses in the bees.

It seems this was yet another assumption about GMO safety that has been proven wrong by further scientific research.
The authors of the new study noted: "Expression changes appear to be the result of both direct off-target effects and indirect downstream secondary effects."
Do these effects matter? Apparently, yes. The authors explain: "In general, the affected genes are involved in important developmental and metabolic processes associated with RNA processing and transport, hormone metabolism, immunity, response to external stimulus and to stress."
Another surprise was that only a small number (less than 11) of matches between the dsRNA and non-target gene were enough to cause off-target effect in the bees.
Let's hope the risk-deniers in regulatory agencies read the study and take note.

BREAKING NEWS LIVE!!! WE MUST SPREAD THIS INFORMATION NOW!!

BREAKING NEWS LIVE!!! WE MUST SPREAD THIS INFORMATION NOW!!

Plans by British scientists to commercialize GM insects and release them into the environment are set to be released
under the guise of a natural alternative to pesticides.

The result; millions of GM insects being released onto field crops, including olives, tomatoes, citrus fruits, cabbages and cotton.

Whats more alarming and of grave concern to human health is that Millions of GMO mosquitoes have already been released into the environment.

Did you know about this? Does the American people even have a clue this is happening?

To add even more fire on our already scorched bodies, The release of GM insects are covered by laws and regulations that cover the release of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), however, there is no specific regulatory process for GM insects anywhere in the world.

WHAT?? That simply means its the wild west of GM creations having unprecedented impact on life as we know it!!

The public will be shocked to learn if this information ever sees the light of day, that GM insects can be released into the environment without any proper oversight.

New GM insects and their newly created diseases may fill ecological niche left by the insects suppressed or replaced, possibly resulting in new public health and agricultural health epidemics.

Scared yet? How about the fact that the new genes engineered into the insects may jump into other species, a process called horizontal transfer, causing unintended consequences to the ecosystem and human health.

Releases would be impossible to monitor and irreversible, as would any damage done to all living creature on the planet.

This is something that you wont hear in corporate media, despite the importance of this information, it seems developments within this field are sneaking by very quietly.

This is now of grave concern of our human health and awareness must become precedent.

We applaud Santo team for its continued efforts in exposing the truth through its research and ask you to help support the film we know will bring great awareness to this devilish GMO landscape.

This is a situation where knowledge truly is the power.
